Applied Research Europe GmbH is the new name of a well-known German company, the Scientific Metal Equipment GmbH (SME). Applied Research Europe AB has been working since many years in the field of chromatography, starting with the manufacturing and supply of components to the chromatographic industry in Germany. During the last years we became a more prominent supplier not only for metal products but also accessories made of polymeric material. The name SME and the connection with metal equipment felt not appropriate anymore.

Applied Research Europe is a private owned company. We have 8 employees and manufacture for the most in Germany, Sweden and Lettland. We are not ISO certified. We do not intend to seek official certification. Our internal handbook for quality control and quality insurance, product tracebility and management routines are build in a manner as requested for a certified company

Applied Research Europe GmbH started as a German company with the Germany market in focus. Developments during the last years made us change our policy and you will now find our products in every corner of the world.

Recently, new product lines have been added to our product portfolio with all the accessories and components needed for chromatography. And all is shipped from a one-stop-shopping location in the heart of Europe. We do not only serve distributors. OEM customers are welcome for existing products or development of new products.
